Upon deciding to leave an intense pandemic relationship, Ford’s former lover (and SVP of -Redacted-, -Name Redacted- age 53) set fire to her entire collection of paintings that she kept at the home the two shared. The artist collected the remains and staged an exhibition

With this photo set, the artist attempts to shed light on the underhanded statement ‘Strong Black Woman’ – Black women should be seen and treated as feminine like all other women. It invalidates our feelings, emotions and opinions by suggesting that we should be able to deal with/put up with any situations mentally or physically.

With this project, the artist draws inspiration from the pitterpebbles initiative. The goal is to leave 5,000 affordable art rocks in prominent areas of New York City. Always being told that her Artworks are priced too high inspired the artist to come up with this project. Rocks, which are virtually worthless become worth something once Amelia writes on them. It is also meant to emphasize the price disparities between white male artists and women/artists of color. Seen as creative, it is also a personal ‘fuck you’ to those whom the artist believes never understood or saw the vision of her artistic prowess. Note: This project is ongoing

With this project, the artist attempts to engage the general public in the art and artists of today. This goes along with the age old adage ‘give people their flowers while they can smell them.’ Beyond that, to just appreciate and bring back the celebrity of the visual artist of today. Why is that musicians and other artists get recognition and accolades for their talents in their lifetime, but it seems as though visual artists have to die first? In many ways, it is like the celebrity of the artist died with Andy Warhol and Basquiat.
In March 2021, the artist gave away $20,000 throughout Manhattan, New York in one dollar bills with the phrase ‘Dead Artists Don’t Need Money’ written on them
